📋 Description

• Conduct thorough on-site vehicle condition inspections according to Manheim inspection standards • Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots • Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; accurately enter data into systems • Inspect and document exterior and interior vehicle condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options • Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components • Identify and document damage, missing components, or inoperable features • Build trust with dealer clients through consistent quality, professionalism, and responsiveness • Educate clients about Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services • Engage dealers to increase inspection volume and maintain participation • Use data, insights, and partner input to maximize inspection efficiency and territory productivity • Adapt to changing appointments and schedules to ensure dealer coverage • Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports • Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and customer performance tracking • Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean process enhancement • Maintain production expectations and follow safety and health procedures • Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives and comply with Manheim inspection standards • Mentor peers and support onboarding and development of less experienced inspectors at senior level

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must live in the Lincoln, Nebraska area • High School Diploma or GED required for Level 1 • Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination of degree/certification beyond high school/GED or 5 years’ related experience • Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ related experience, or an alternative combination of degree/certification beyond high school/GED and 3 years’ experience, or 7 years’ related experience • Minimal automotive knowledge preferred for Level 1 • 0–1 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 1 • 1–2 years of automotive-related experience preferred for Level 2 • Previous vehicle inspection experience required for Senior Level • Strong automotive knowledge in body and mechanical systems required for Senior Level • 2–3 years of automotive-related experience strongly preferred for Senior Level • One year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended for Senior Level • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes • Must clear a pre-employment drug test • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future
