📋 Description

• Perform virtual commercial inspections and plan reviews in licensed disciplines (building, plumbing, electrical, mechanical) via video, photos, or digital submissions • Identify defects, hazards, inconsistencies, and non-compliance issues according to applicable codes, standards, and regulations • Document inspection findings using approved reporting systems and communication channels • Communicate inspection results, required corrections, and professional recommendations to stakeholders • Advise internal teams, contractors, and building owners on code violations and compliance • Provide technical guidance and support to inspection personnel regarding field problems • Participate in cross-training with other inspection staff • Deliver customer service and support throughout the inspection process • Maintain current knowledge of jurisdictional requirements and the Florida Building Code • Perform other related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Active State of Florida Residential Inspector License in one or more disciplines: Building (BN), Electrical (EN), Mechanical (MN), and/or Plumbing (PN) • Minimum of 2 years working in commercial inspections, construction, and/or plan reviews • Strong working knowledge of the Florida Building Code and applicable jurisdictional requirements • Ability to accurately interpret construction documents, plans, and specifications • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset • Strong attention to detail and time management; ability to meet inspection turnaround deadlines • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with internal teams • Reliable high-speed internet and a professional remote workspace • Commitment to professionalism, accuracy, and continuous learning • Active International Code Council Certification (ICC) preferred • Experience with virtual or remote inspections preferred
