📋 Description

• Conduct on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory • Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots • Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; enter data accurately in systems • Inspect and document exterior and interior vehicle condition, tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options • Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components • Identify and document damage, missing components, or inoperable features • Build trust with dealer clients and educate them on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services • Proactively engage dealers to increase inspection volume and maintain participation • Use data, insights, and partner input to improve inspection efficiency and territory productivity • Adapt daily appointments and schedules to ensure dealer coverage • Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports • Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and customer performance tracking • Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams • Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean process enhancement • Maintain production expectations and follow safety and health procedures • Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives and comply with Manheim inspection standards, including the NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy • At senior level, perform advanced inspections, mentor peers, support onboarding, and serve as a subject matter resource

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required for Level 1 • Level 2: High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination of degree/certification beyond high school or 5 years’ related experience • Level 2: 1–2 years of automotive-related experience preferred • Senior Level: High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ related experience, or degree/certification beyond high school plus 3 years’ experience, or 7 years’ related experience • Senior Level: Previous vehicle inspection experience required • Senior Level: Strong automotive knowledge (body and mechanical) required • Senior Level: 2–3 years of automotive-related experience strongly preferred • Senior Level: 1 year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended • Level 1: Minimal automotive knowledge preferred • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required • Ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the role within required timeframes • Must clear a pre-employment drug test; no marijuana testing currently administered for this position • Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in future
