📋 Description

• Conduct routine 30-day QSD, semi-annual QSD, pre-storm, storm event, and post-storm inspections specified in the SWPPP • Troubleshoot site compliance and BMP issues • Communicate site/BMP issues and inspection results to construction and client personnel • Collect stormwater and non-stormwater samples • Conduct field analyses of samples as needed • Verify site compliance with SWPPP, maps, and permit conditions • Complete, maintain, and submit SWPPP reporting forms • Advise project management on BMP implementation and other compliance issues • Facilitate and lead SWPPP-related training and relevant communications for project staff • Inspect construction projects for compliance with stormwater regulations, the California Construction General Permit, NPDES Construction General Permit, SWPPP, and other applicable requirements

🎯 Requirements

• QSP/QSD certification required • Strong MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and internet skills • Knowledge of Best Management Practices (BMP) and NPDES regulations • Familiarity with construction job sites and plans • Familiarity with field sampling equipment • Ability to perform field work and walk on difficult terrain • Must pass company-defined pre-employment, random, and annual alcohol/drug screening • Valid driver’s license required • Active personal automobile liability insurance required by the first day of employment • Four or more years of field stormwater and/or construction experience preferred • Inspection experience preferred • QSD certification required • CESSWI certification recommended but not required, or equivalent qualified compliance inspector certification • CPESC credential preferred but not required, or equivalent qualified compliance inspector certification • Access to a 4WD vehicle for inspections • Ability to bend, squat, climb ladders, and lift up to 35 lbs unassisted or 50 lbs in a team lift • Ability to work outdoors in excessive noise, uneven terrain, extreme weather, and around moving vehicles and equipment • U.S. work authorization required • Must pass a background check before beginning employment
