📋 Description

• Conduct thorough vehicle condition inspections at dealer/client lots • Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles • Verify vehicle identification and enter accurate VIN, mileage, and sub-series information • Inspect vehicle equipment and options, documenting damage, missing items, and inoperable items • Record exterior condition including tires, frame, glass, panels, and mechanical components • Record interior condition including seats, dashboard, and options • Perform basic mechanical checks on powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components • Prepare and provide daily activity reports for management • Adapt daily appointments to improve efficiency and effectiveness of dealer visits • Develop client knowledge and proactively engage clients to maintain mobile inspection volume • Leverage partner data and insights to maximize units inspected on dealer lots • Represent Cox Automotive as a brand ambassador and provide premier client experiences • Collaborate with Wholesale Specialist teams, peers, Manheim workgroups, and auctions • Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead input, and customer performance reviews • Apply NAAA Frame/Structure Damage Policy • Participate in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives • Maintain production expectations • Follow safety and health procedures and participate in Safety Excellence activities • Perform dealership inventory audits and verify vehicle documentation for finance companies • Conduct detailed vehicle damage assessments and generate accurate repair estimates • Collaborate with insurance companies and repair shops on claims and supplements • Inspect vehicles for auction readiness and assist with pricing strategy • Manage field operations and lease-end inspections • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required • 3 years of automotive-related experience required • Connecticut Auto Appraiser License required • Valid driver’s license required • Reliable transportation required • Ability to travel 100% of the time • Safe driving record required • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Detail-oriented • Ability to work independently with remote supervision • Ability to multitask, follow directions, and take instruction • Ability to lift and hold at least 30 lbs. at waist level for an extended period • Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear regularly • Ability to crouch, bend, and kneel frequently • Strength to lift a vehicle hood or trunk • Ability to reach inside or underneath vehicles • Near-vision ability to identify dings, scratches, paint work, hail damage, frame/unibody issues, and other damage • Ability to identify exterior and interior colors under different lighting conditions • Physical ability and mental acuity to execute duties within required timeframes • Ability to read and interpret financial documents • Basic understanding of accounting practices • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong time management skills • Proven conflict-resolution experience • High personal integrity and ethical judgment • Strong organizational skills • Proficiency with technology platforms and applications • Pre-employment drug test clearance required • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in the future • Preferred: inventory management and/or dealership operations experience • Preferred: experience navigating handheld and other documentation devices • Body, paint, and mechanical repair knowledge helpful • Familiarity with unibody and full-frame vehicles helpful
