📋 Description

• Conduct on-site vehicle condition inspections for dealer clients within an assigned territory • Locate, start, move, inspect, and safely return vehicles on dealer client lots • Verify vehicle identification, VINs, mileage, sub-series, and options; enter data accurately into systems • Inspect and document exterior and interior vehicle condition, including tires, frame, glass, panels, mechanical components, seating, dashboard, and installed options • Perform basic mechanical checks across powertrain, drivetrain, and electrical components • Identify and document damage, missing components, or inoperable features • Build trust with dealer clients and educate them on Manheim Marketplace and mobile inspection services • Engage dealers to increase inspection volume and maintain active participation • Use data, insights, and partner input to maximize inspection efficiency and territory productivity • Adapt daily appointments and schedules to ensure effective dealer coverage • Prepare and submit daily activity and production reports • Use Salesforce.com for reporting, lead management, and customer performance tracking • Collaborate with Wholesale Specialists, peers, and other Manheim teams • Contribute to process enhancement in a continuous improvement and Lean environment • Maintain production expectations and follow safety, health, and Manheim inspection standards • Participate in Safety Excellence initiatives • At senior level, perform advanced inspections, mentor peers, support onboarding, and serve as a subject matter resource

🎯 Requirements

• Level 1 requires a High School Diploma or GED • Level 1 requires a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record • Level 1 requires ability to meet the physical and mental demands within required timeframes • Level 2 requires a High School Diploma or GED plus 3+ years of experience in a related field, or an alternative combination of degree/certification and experience, or 5 years’ experience in a related field • Senior level requires a High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years’ experience in a related field, or an alternative combination of degree/certification and experience, or 7 years’ experience in a related field • Senior level requires previous vehicle inspection experience • Senior level requires strong automotive knowledge in body and mechanical areas • Level-specific automotive-related experience preferred: 0–1 years for Level 1, 1–2 years for Level 2, and 2–3 years strongly preferred for Senior level • One year of service with Manheim Inspections recommended for Senior level • Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record required at all levels • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate increasing independence, sound judgment, and problem-solving skills • Must clear a pre-employment drug test • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship • No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT, or visa sponsorship now or in future • Must live in the specified city, state, or region; ideal candidate based out of Wichita, KS • Must be able to travel 100% of the time
