📋 Description

• Evaluate submissions and write reader’s reports • Assist with copywriting and research comparable titles • Attend virtual editorial meetings • Provide insights based on personal reading and editors’ submissions • Support editors working with authors to develop manuscripts into finished books • Contribute to editorial processes including content, structural, and line-by-line editing • Collaborate on book packaging, marketing, and publicity • Gain exposure to publishing through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series

🎯 Requirements

• Must be ready to work full-time on or before June 2028 • Able to work 28 hours/week throughout the program • Available and committed to working June 7, 2027–August 12, 2027 • Must reside in the U.S. for the duration of the internship • Must be over the age of 18 • Primarily able to work on Eastern Time • Resume and cover letter required • Cover letter must indicate desired children’s genres: board books, picture books, middle grade, and/or YA • No college enrollment or degree required
