📋 Description

• Provide MEAL technical assistance remotely and in-country to projects and country teams • Develop or review MEAL budgets, system designs, data collection tools, data analyses, learning agendas, and evaluations • Support business development, proposal development, project design, MEAL narratives, indicators, and MEAL Plans • Support MEAL in humanitarian responses, including emergency deployment, MEAL systems, tools, reports, real-time evaluations, and after-action reviews • Support sector-specific MEAL activities in social cohesion, WASH, and youth • Support design and implementation of global awards on an interim basis • Customize and design digital data-collection forms and data-visualization approaches • Design and implement MEAL strategies, standards, tools, and best practices with partners, donors, and governments • Strengthen staff and partner capacity through learning strategies, trainings, workshops, mentoring, and coaching • Contribute to influence and scaling strategies, evidence generation, and measurement of progress • Maintain relationships with donors, peer organizations, research institutions, and other organizations • Participate in MEAL forums and coordinate with regional, country, sector, Program Quality, and Humanitarian Response staff

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in international development, statistics, economics or another related field • Minimum of eight years of work experience in international development and/or MEAL with progressive responsibilities • At least three years as a MEAL technical advisor and/or program manager • Experience working overseas • Experience with project monitoring and evaluation using quantitative and qualitative approaches • Experience developing indicators, data collection tools and methodologies, databases, data analysis, and data presentation • Previous experience providing technical assistance and contributing to successful proposals for external donor funding • Experience working with both development and emergency programs • Demonstrated application of technical principles and concepts in MEAL • Experience in business development, including MEAL components of project design and proposal development • Strong relationship management, influence, mentoring, coaching, facilitation, training, strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CommCare, KoBo or RedRose, web conferencing applications, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks • Strong written and oral communication skills • Written and verbal fluency in English required • Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% • Ability to legally work where the position is performed • Pre-employment medical clearance for positions requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country • Master’s degree is a plus • Experience with curricula, tools, evidence, knowledge transfer, statistical software, and PowerBI preferred
