📋 Description

• Contribute to agency-wide strategies, standards, tools, and best practices in public health related to health security and resilient health systems • Ensure cross-sectoral integration of gender, protection mainstreaming, disaster risk reduction, and preparedness • Provide global technical solutions to regional and country program teams for strategic planning and adapting program design and implementation standards • Contribute to strategic growth opportunities in health security • Provide technical guidance in proposal development and project design for complex projects • Support country programs in appropriately staffing project teams • Lead capacity-strengthening initiatives and integrated multisectoral projects with health and nutrition components • Help develop learning and training strategies, agendas, and curricula • Organize and/or facilitate trainings, workshops, and conferences • Mentor and coach technical advisors, country program staff, regional staff, and partners • Lead knowledge management and learning activities in health security and systems strengthening • Capture, document, and share successes, promising practices, lessons learned, and implementation research • Support publications in peer-reviewed journals • Represent CRS in regional and global forums • Develop collaboration, shared learning, technical influence, funding opportunities, and policy engagement • Network with relevant organizations to increase CRS’ profile and donor diversification

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in public health or health-related field required • Minimum of ten years of work experience in health with progressive responsibilities • Three years overseas in multiple regions as a technical advisor and/or program manager of a health and/or multi-sectoral project with a public health or health systems strengthening component • Experience developing and producing curricula, tools, and other products supporting nutrition interventions and programming • Demonstrated experience transferring knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring, and formal and informal methods • Experience with program monitoring and evaluation, including indicators, data collection tools and methodologies, data analysis, and data presentation • Experience representing an organization at meetings with donors, government, international NGOs, and local partners • Understanding of partnership principles • Strong understanding and application of technical principles and concepts in health security and health system strengthening • Good knowledge of related disciplines for a cross-sectoral approach • Track record contributing to successful business development activities capturing public and/or private donor funding in nutrition • Proficiency in MS Office packages (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), web conferencing applications, information and budget management systems, and knowledge-sharing networks • Excellent relationship management skills and ability to influence people not under direct supervision • Very strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving, and systems thinking skills • Very strong written and oral communication skills • Very strong presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills • Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented • Fluency in English required • Must be willing and able to travel up to 30% • Must be able to legally work where the position is performed • Pre-employment medical clearance required for positions requiring residence or frequent travel outside a home country • Master’s Degree in a related field preferred • Experience with climate change and/or climate-resilient health systems strengthening preferred • Technical and/or academic publications a plus
