📋 Description

• Provide expert diagnostic support for complex warranty and non-warranty repair events • Identify root causes and formulate comprehensive repair plans • Document diagnostic findings and repair actions in appropriate systems • Manage and coordinate escalations of highly complex cases • Lead diagnostic support and escalation process improvement initiatives • Maintain deep technical knowledge of current and new Cummins products • Investigate product issues at customer or dealer locations • Distribute technical communications across the assigned region • Mentor and coach regional technicians • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, dealers, and service partners • Translate customer complaints into structured diagnostic plans • Use electronic service tools to diagnose issues and interpret results • Validate repair effectiveness before case closure • Analyze service capability metrics and support service-network improvements • Create complete, accurate service documentation • Manage technical escalations and ensure seamless handoffs

🎯 Requirements

• Residence within the Western United States • Ability to travel 75% or more to support business needs • Minimum of 3 years of on-site experience in the power generation industry • Experience with generator paralleling systems • Experience with electrical switchgear systems • Strong communication skills, including the ability to organize and lead meetings and communicate effectively through verbal and technology-based methods • Proficiency in electrical system design and the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics • College, university, or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience equivalent required • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations • Intermediate level of relevant work experience required • Experience with control systems, data networks, and PLCs preferred • Prior experience in a technical role preferred
