📋 Description

• Support supplier quality initiatives to achieve operational and strategic supplier quality goals • Build relationships with external suppliers, external customers, and internal stakeholders including Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Engineering • Execute APQP and support VPI quality activities for internal Engine Business suppliers • Learn and apply APQP, AIAG, and Cummins specialty tools to develop or improve supplier manufacturing processes • Participate in external supplier audits and potentially lead low-complexity, low-risk audits after certification • Participate in resolving supplier-related quality challenges through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and effectiveness verification • Contribute to continuous improvement projects using lean and Six Sigma methodologies • Participate in quality performance planning and improvement for assigned product types or supplier segments • Support Product Problem Solving (PPS) activities and successful product launches • Evaluate supplier product design, manufacturing process design, and product validation for reliability expectations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical or scientific subject required • Degree from an accredited U.S. college/university • External candidates must be within 2 years of completing their highest degree • Must currently reside within the continental U.S. • F-1 students must have approved CPT or OPT before the Early Career assignment begins; authorization must relate to the degree and be approved by the university • Minimal level of relevant work experience required • Project management • Problem solving • Resourcefulness • Analytics • Knowledge of APQP, AIAG tools, and Cummins specialty tools • Knowledge of GD&T and Engineering Standards • Knowledge of manufacturing technology and process validation • Knowledge of DFMEA, PFMEA, Control Plan, SPC, MSA, Source Release, and PPAP • Knowledge of ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949 • Knowledge of statistical tools and techniques • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations
