📋 Description

• Provide legal guidance, interpretation, advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders and senior/executive management regarding federal and state healthcare regulations • Serve as a subject matter expert on newly enacted legal requirements • Provide advanced legal advice and counsel to promote company mandates and protect company interests • Prepare communications with state regulators, examiners, and/or consultants under expected deadlines and short timelines • Research and analyze state laws and regulations • Review and assess adverse state market conduct examination findings and consent orders • Identify and review legal risk for business areas and subject matter experts to assess market conduct impact and corrective action plans • Provide legal expertise for company-wide initiatives, including legal research and advice across the CVS Health enterprise • Collaborate cross-functionally with the law department, Compliance, Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and business operations teams to implement new laws and regulations • Assist with onboarding junior-level staff and developing departmental capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of legal attorney experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting • Mastery of problem solving and decision making skills • Mastery of collaboration and teamwork • Mastery of growth mindset skills, including agility and developing yourself and others • Mastery of execution and delivery skills, including planning, delivering, and supporting • Mastery of business intelligence • JD required • Bachelor's Degree required • In-depth knowledge of healthcare laws, regulations and industry standards governing health plans and healthcare, including the Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, ERISA, and state provider network issues • Experience working with state and federal government agencies and healthcare laws and regulations • Experience working with PBMs, pharmacy divisions of health plans, and/or health plans
