📋 Description

• Translate complex benefit information and non-standard plan language into clear, compliant plan language for self-funded plans • Analyze, draft, edit and review legal and regulatory plan documentation, including SPDs, plan amendments, SBCs and restatements • Maintain compliance with federal and state laws, regulations and internal procedures affecting self-funded health plans • Negotiate deadlines when appropriate • Influence improvements to business processes, policies and system infrastructure • Deliver high-quality documentation meeting department standards • Correct spelling, grammar and formatting errors before documents are sent to customers • Participate in department projects as needed • Facilitate onboarding, policies and procedures/directives, and refresher courses for renewal team members and new hires • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or required

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years recent and related plan document experience • Extensive plan writing experience supporting self-funded plans • Written and verbal communication skills • Critical thinking, persuasiveness, advising and counseling skills • Ability to anticipate workload needs and follow through with minimum direction • Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced, constantly changing work environment • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint and Outlook • Associate degree or equivalent work experience (high school diploma plus 2 years relevant experience) • Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws
