📋 Description

• Evaluate and customize enteral and parenteral prescriptions, including formula, volume, administration, and other parameters • Perform outbound calls and ongoing assessments with patients and caregivers • Monitor patient status and therapy tolerance • Provide education related to nutrition therapy • Review patient medical documentation for newly referred nutrition therapy patients • Review clinical documentation to support qualification and medical necessity for Medicare and commercial payers • Develop patient-specific plans of care with internal and external medical professionals • Work with sales to develop and maintain nutrition customer relationships • Serve as a content expert for sales support activities • Answer incoming calls from patients, caregivers, and pharmacy disciplines to resolve questions and issues • Coordinate all aspects of patient home nutrition therapy with patients, caregivers, case managers, physicians, pharmacists, outpatient dietitians, and vendor representatives • Participate in an approximately one-week telephonic on-call rotation every nine weeks

🎯 Requirements

• Current registration by the Commission of Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association • Registered Dietitian with current license in the state of employment • Additional licensure may be required in multi-state service areas • 2+ years of clinical experience in nutrition support (enteral) • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Word to document and track patient care activity • Participation in an on-call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs • Ability to hard-wire into the internet • Bachelor Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field is required • Certified Nutrition Support Clinician (CNSC) preferred • Infusion experience preferred • Knowledge of parenteral and enteral formulas across manufacturers preferred
