• Perform reviews and clinical summaries for disability claims • Summarize relevant medical documentation for the period under review • Include document authors, dates, and document titles or types in summaries • Identify the claimant’s impairing diagnosis and relevant comorbid conditions • Summarize relevant diagnostic testing, lab work, examination findings, and other clinical information • Provide conclusions addressing condition-specific restrictions and limitations • State understandable, medically supported durations for restrictions and limitations • Provide a clinically based rationale supporting conclusions • Answer all referral questions • Participate in calls with treating providers when required by client requirements • Complete professional, concise reports using layperson-understandable medical terminology • Complete reports with an expected turnaround time of 2 days • Participate in initial training covering the Dane Street portal, report formatting, sample reports, and client-specific training documents
• Active Registered Nurse • Prior work experience in commercial disability insurance: disability insurance carrier or TPA (i.e., UNUM, Sedgwick, Mutual of Omaha) • Diverse Clinical Background • Ability to complete clinical summaries and reports within a 2-day turnaround time • Ability to write professionally and concisely • Ability to avoid clinical and/or claim acronyms and explain medical terminology in layman’s terms • Ability to produce reports free of grammar and spelling issues
