📋 Description

• Lead the Continuous Monitoring team and own the engineering function measuring Databricks security control effectiveness • Demonstrate control posture against SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, PCI DSS, and emerging AI governance requirements • Set the team vision, priorities, strategy, OKRs, and KPIs • Hire, develop, and mentor Security Software Engineers and future technical leaders and managers • Establish engineering quality standards for code review, reliability, observability, and documentation • Own the continuous monitoring platform roadmap, control-state collection, posture assessment, tooling integration, and remediation tracking • Define and prioritize controls, improve automated coverage, reduce manual evidence collection, and ensure output accuracy • Own security posture dashboards, metrics, and executive reporting • Present control gaps, risk implications, and remediation needs to senior leadership • Partner with GRC, Enterprise Security, Product Security, Security Operations, IT, Legal, and Engineering leadership • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives including telemetry gaps, GRC platform migrations, and multi-quarter automation programs • Lead build-vs.-buy evaluations for CSPM, SSPM, GRC automation, and security posture tooling • Manage program operating costs and translate regulatory and architectural changes into roadmap decisions

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years of prior management experience leading Engineering or Security engineering teams • Typically 12+ years of experience, or an advanced degree plus 8 years, preferably focused on security engineering, security posture monitoring, or compliance automation • Ability to read and critique Python automation • Ability to evaluate integration architecture and assess production readiness • Understanding of security controls including identity and access, configuration management, logging coverage, vulnerability management, and data protection • Cloud security knowledge across at least one major platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP • Knowledge of IAM, audit logging, CSPM concepts, and cloud-native security services • Working knowledge of SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or equivalent compliance frameworks • Experience building security posture monitoring or compliance automation at scale • Ability to define and achieve OKRs and KPIs • Ability to make effective priority decisions on resourcing and team alignment • Strong communication across technical, GRC, and executive audiences
