• Receive and process requests for patient health information according to Company and Facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software • Adhere to Company and customer facility Codes of Conduct and policies • Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Assist with additional work duties and responsibilities as required • Apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosure • Manage and safeguard patient health records and ensure HIPAA compliance • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records • Respond to internal and external patient-record requests by retrieving and transmitting records appropriately • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins • Handle administrative duties such as faxes, mail, and data entry • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pickups as needed • Work in a high-volume production environment and process medical record requests from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys • Document information across multiple platforms using two computer monitors
• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment on a regular basis • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records • Strong data entry skills • Must be able to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship • Post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of required vaccinations may be required depending on client requirements • Experience in a healthcare environment, previous production/metric-based work experience, in-person customer service experience, ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers, and process improvement suggestions are bonus points
