📋 Description

• Process release-of-information requests and patient medical record requests accurately and efficiently • Take calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys and provide medical record status • Receive and process patient health information according to company and facility policies • Maintain confidentiality, security, and HIPAA compliance for privileged patient information • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Report work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes to the manager • Manage patient health records and safeguard patient records • Prepare new patient charts using paper and electronic health record sources • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins, faxes, mail, data entry, and pickup scheduling as needed • Meet site-specific productivity expectations and perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment regularly • Professional verbal and written communication skills in English • Detail and quality oriented regarding accurate and compliant medical records information • Strong data entry skills • Able to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • Not eligible for employment sponsorship • Bonus: experience in a healthcare environment • Bonus: previous production/metric-based work experience • Bonus: in-person customer service experience • Bonus: ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers • Bonus: process improvement suggestions and feedback to internal stakeholders
