• Receive and process requests for patient health information according to Company and Facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information • Maintain working knowledge of Company and facility software • Adhere to Company and customer facility Codes of Conduct and policies • Inform manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Assist with additional work duties or responsibilities as required • Apply medical privacy regulations to prevent unauthorized disclosure • Manage and safeguard patient health records in compliance with HIPAA standards • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and transmit patient records for internal and external requests • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins • Handle administrative duties such as faxes, mail, and data entry • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pick-ups as needed • Perform other duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or GED • Strong customer service and clerical skills • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel • Comfortable working in a high-volume production environment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment on a regular basis • Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records • Strong data entry skills • Must be able to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship • Medical office experience preferred • Experience in a healthcare environment • Previous production/metric-based work experience • In-person customer service experience • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers • Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders
