• Process requests for patient health information and medical record releases in accordance with company and facility policies • Maintain confidentiality, security, and compliance with HIPAA and medical privacy regulations • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Inform the manager of work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Manage patient health records and safeguard patient information • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure accuracy and completeness • Create digital images of paperwork for electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls • Assist with patient walk-ins and administrative duties including faxes, mail, and data entry • Meet site-specific productivity expectations • Schedule pickups as needed • Perform other duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machines, printers, and other general office equipment • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • Detail and quality oriented regarding accurate and compliant medical records • Strong data entry skills • Ability to work with minimum supervision and respond to changing priorities • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Ability to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • Experience in a healthcare environment (bonus) • Previous production/metric-based work experience (bonus) • In-person customer service experience (bonus) • Ability to build relationships with on-site clients and customers (bonus) • Comfortable bringing new ideas, process improvement suggestions, and feedback to internal stakeholders (bonus) • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship
