• Process all release of information requests, specifically medical record requests, accurately and efficiently • Receive and process requests for patient health information according to company and facility policies and procedures • Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged information and comply with HIPAA and medical privacy regulations • Manage patient health records and safeguard patient records • Prepare new patient charts using paper sources and/or electronic health records • Assemble medical records in standard order and ensure they are accurate and complete • Create digital images of paperwork for storage in electronic medical records • Retrieve and appropriately transmit patient records to internal and external requesters • Answer inbound and outbound calls from patients, insurance companies, and attorneys and provide medical record status • Document information in multiple platforms using two computer monitors • Maintain working knowledge of company and facility software • Inform the manager about work, site difficulties, and fluctuating volumes • Assist with patient walk-ins and administrative duties such as faxes, mail, and data entry • Schedule pickups and meet site-specific productivity expectations • Perform other duties as assigned
• High School Diploma or GED • Ability to commute between locations as needed • Able to work overtime during peak seasons when required • Basic computer proficiency • Comfortable utilizing phones, fax machine, printers, and other general office equipment on a regular basis • Professional verbal and written communication skills in the English language • Detail and quality oriented as it relates to accurate and compliant information for medical records • Strong data entry skills • Must be able to work with minimum supervision responding to changing priorities and role needs • Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks • Able to respond to requests in a fast-paced environment • This job is not eligible for employment sponsorship • Post-offer health screenings and proof and/or completion of required vaccinations may be required by clients • Bonus: Experience in a healthcare environment • Bonus: Previous production/metric-based work experience • Bonus: In-person customer service experience
