📋 Description

• Perform brief, evidence-based virtual individual and/or group counseling for low- to moderate-acuity patients • Provide outpatient behavioral health treatment using virtual platforms • Make recommendations on major diagnostics and treatment plans • Provide follow-up care for chronic outpatients with acute disorders and complications • Provide psychiatric care for triage patients with acute illnesses • Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education, quality improvement, and safety • Recommend hospitalization and determine service members' fitness for duty • Assess and complete Active-Duty Profiles, MEB, TDRL, MSE, psychological autopsies, sanity boards, command consultations, and related administrative processes • Prepare evaluation reports according to applicable regulations • Communicate TRICARE requirements and benefits to TRICARE/DoD beneficiaries • Maintain convenience files and outpatient/inpatient medical records according to SOPs • Prepare case summaries and correspondence using approved electronic medical records • Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans • Use DSM and clinical findings to diagnose conditions and develop treatment and rehabilitation plans • Examine patients, evaluate laboratory and clinical findings, prescribe treatment, or refer patients to specialty clinics • Collaborate with physicians and other professional and military staff • Direct quality assurance within the area of responsibility • Identify patient treatment needs and arrange safe therapeutic outcomes • Update patient charts within 72 business hours after appointments; update high-visibility or higher-acuity patient documentation by close of business • Follow SOP duty limitations, weapons access assessments, safety, and notification procedures • Follow DHA provider scheduling requirements

🎯 Requirements

• Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA-accredited university or professional school • Completion of an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology • Two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Psychologist • Experience providing evidence-based treatments using virtual platforms • Experience performing bio-psychosocial evaluations • Experience developing behavioral health treatment plans • Experience administering Active-Duty Profiles and Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations • Experience making fitness for duty determinations and providing psychotherapy • Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms will be considered • Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction • Fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges • Ability to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross • Must physically reside in the United States or United States territories • Knowledge and experience providing treatment services using virtual platforms; military population experience ideally preferred • Strong written and oral communication skills • Understanding of TRICARE requirements and benefits
