• Perform brief, evidence-based virtual individual and/or group counseling for low to moderate acuity patients with acute mental health conditions • Develop, monitor, and document comprehensive treatment plans • Consult the DSM to identify symptoms, make diagnoses, and develop therapeutic or treatment plans • Exercise clinical judgment within the licensure area and support the behavioral health service line • Communicate effectively in written and oral formats, including case formulation and presentation • Explain TRICARE requirements and benefits to assigned patients • Prepare and maintain convenience files and outpatient and inpatient medical record documentation • Prepare case summaries and correspondence using the approved electronic medical record • Recommend hospitalization when applicable or determine service members' fitness for duty • Assess and complete Active Duty Profiles, MEB evaluations, MSEs, command consultations, and other Air Force, Army, and Navy administrative processes • Attend staff meetings for case discussion, continuing education, continuous quality improvement, and safety • Update patient charts/information within 72 business hours after appointments; update high-visibility or higher-acuity patient documentation by close of business • Follow SOP duty limitations and weapons access assessments • Perform other duties as assigned
• Master's degree (or higher degree) in social work from a school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education • Two years of post-graduate experience as a Clinical Social Worker using virtual platforms to perform bio-psychosocial evaluations; develop behavioral health treatment plans; administer Active-Duty Profiles; Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) evaluations; fitness for duty determinations; and provide psychotherapy • Candidates with less than two years of experience using virtual platforms will be considered • Experience as a Clinical Social Worker using virtual platforms within the MHS preferred; virtual health experience outside the MHS acceptable • Current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Clinical Social Work independently, offered by a U.S. State, District of Columbia, commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction • Must fulfill credentialing requirements and obtain and maintain appropriate/relevant clinical privileges • Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Red Cross • Certification in addition to Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
