📋 Description

• Independently manage field property claims, including outside field investigations • Lead thorough investigations, assess coverage, and issue documentation • Identify opportunities to transfer risk for the benefit of insureds • Maintain detailed claim records and ensure compliance with requirements • Investigate and manage suspicious claims using advanced techniques • Set reserves, authorize payments, and make financial decisions • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including legal and vendors • Use advanced tools to identify trends and improve claims efficiency • Serve as a mentor to junior adjusters and support training initiatives • Communicate empathetically and educate claimants throughout the claims process

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with claim handling • Typically requires 5–10 years of adjusting experience • Strong knowledge of local geography, regulations, and public safety agencies • Skilled in negotiation and developing strategies to influence outcomes • Highly organized with the ability to manage complex workflows and project work • Makes informed decisions based on thorough analysis of complex issues • Ability to collaborate with internal and external experts • Ability to deliver difficult messages clearly and effectively
