📋 Description

• Resolving all insurance claim denials for assigned surgical specialty departments • generating effective written appeals to carriers using well-researched logic • utilizing resources to ensure correct appeal processes are followed • extensive and complex account investigation • managing complicated denied claims • deploying analytical approach to resolve denials and recognize trends/patterns • communicating identified denial patterns to management • prioritizing and processing large volume of denials • serving as escalation point for unresolved denial issues • informing team members of payer policy changes • assisting in training new employees as assigned • collaborating on special projects as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years experience in medical practice billing • exposure to working with denials, appeals, insurance collections • bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred • ICD-10 and CPT coding assessment skills • CPC certification required • surgery experience highly preferred • intermediate PC software experience required • advanced verbal and written communication skills
