📋 Description

• Prepare and/or review monthly reconciliations for cash in transit, cash, inventory, fixed assets, intangibles, and lease accounts • Ensure proper ASC 842 accounting across 180+ leases • Maintain accurate lease records in Occupier • Work cross-functionally with the real estate manager and Occupier consultants • Review monthly rent payments • Establish and maintain controls • Review financial statement disclosures • Create SOPs and flowcharts for lease accounting, treasury, and cash accounting processes • Set up and review wires and ACHs • Review weekly Accounts Payable ACHs • Oversee fixed assets, intangible assets, and work in progress • Complete monthly entries and reconciliations • Create capitalization policy • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting • Prepare repair and maintenance accruals • Assist with tax reporting, filings, and payments • Research technical accounting issues and provide accounting guidance • Write technical accounting memos, including for leases, revenue, and disposals • Create and maintain process memos and controls • Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy • Assist with audit preparation • Perform ad hoc research and analysis, identify errors, and suggest efficiency and spending improvements • Assist with financial statement preparation and monthly analytical reviews • Assist with cash flow analysis and projections

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting • 7-10 years’ experience in accounting • Preferred 2 to 3 years in public accounting • Strong communication and analytical skills • Proficient in ASC 842 and ASC 606 • Strong attention to detail • Strong technical accounting knowledge • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, always changing environment • Preferred CPA or pursuing CPA • Preferred NetSuite experience • Preferred experience with lease software, Occupier • Pet obsessed!
