📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of security operations engineers • Own the implementation, operation, and enhancement of EDR, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability scanners, email security platforms, and other defenses • Oversee incident response for significant security events, coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery efforts • Communicate incident status and impact to executive leadership • Mature detection and response programs through metrics, KPIs, processes, and playbooks • Ensure timely and effective handling of security alerts • Leverage agentic AI and deterministic automation to scale team impact and reduce response times • Partner with engineering and IT to embed security best practices across the organization

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in security operations, including 3+ years leading technical security teams in a highly regulated industry • Proven track record of building and maturing security operations programs, including incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management • Strong technical foundation in secure email gateways, SIEM, EDR, SOAR, CSPM, and vulnerability scanners • Working understanding of automation in Python, Go, or related languages • Experience leading response to high-severity security incidents and managing communication with executives, legal, and other stakeholders • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to articulate security and risk concepts to technical audiences and senior business leaders • Fundamental knowledge of HIPAA, HITRUST, PCI, and GDPR frameworks • Experience working with artificial intelligence and LLMs to augment security operations
