📋 Description

• Design and maintain the storage backend abstraction layer for the embedded database • Implement and optimize storage backends for resource-constrained devices • Ensure correct and performant CRDT document operations • Own the reliability and performance of the storage layer • Design and maintain blob storage systems across platforms • Collaborate with product managers and teams on technology design • Author RFCs and document system architecture • Estimate project delivery timelines and communicate with the team • Set team culture by example, promoting trust and continual improvement

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering • 2 or more years in a Senior role with a focus on database internals • Strong proficiency in Rust or excellent C/C++ skills • Experience with embedded database systems like SQLite or RocksDB • Understanding of transaction isolation and concurrency control • Familiarity with indexing strategies and query engine concepts • Willingness to travel quarterly for team meetups • Strong written communication skills in a remote environment
