The platform connects marinas with boaters via an online booking and leads network, offers mobile apps, integrations, and reporting to grow occupancy, streamline operations, and improve guest experience.

📋 Description

• Own and execute the full monthly close, including journal entries, account reconciliations, flux analysis, and financial statement preparation • Drive continuous improvement to shorten close timelines and increase accuracy • Serve as the primary point of contact for the annual financial audit and corporate tax return preparation • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors, prepare supporting schedules and documentation, and ensure filings are timely and accurate • Partner with Revenue Operations to manage and improve the end-to-end contract and order-to-cash process • Own accurate revenue recognition, billing integrity, and clean handoffs between sales, operations, and finance • Research and address regulatory, tax, and financial compliance matters, including state registrations and sales-tax obligations • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing and compliance, including multi-state tax withholdings, benefits deductions, and year-end reporting • Partner with HR and external payroll providers on accurate and timely payroll execution • Identify opportunities to automate accounting workflows • Evaluate and implement tools and integrations that scale with the business • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations on payment processing strategy, revenue recognition, and data integrity initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • CPA strongly preferred • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or management-level role • Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience managing full-cycle month-end close • Proven experience managing external audits and coordinating corporate tax return preparation • Experience with multi-state payroll compliance and working with external payroll providers • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a process-improvement mindset • Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment while communicating proactively across teams • Prior audit or attestation experience at a nationally recognized public accounting firm (Big 4 or equivalent) preferred • Experience with NetSuite ERP, including general ledger management, reporting, and system configuration preferred • Experience with Stripe or Stripe Connect, particularly in a marketplace or payment-platform context preferred • Prior experience at a SaaS, fintech, or payments company preferred • Familiarity with ASC 606 revenue recognition in a subscription or transaction-based business preferred
