• Manage all engagement with the c3 and c4 Boards of Directors on behalf of the Executive Director • Develop a year-long communication strategy for both boards covering organizational priorities, finances, and strategy • Serve as subject matter expert on Board bylaws and organize related communications and cross-team work • Schedule, plan, and execute in-person and virtual board meetings and retreats • Attend board meetings, draft agendas, and record accurate minutes for governance documentation • Support recruitment, onboarding, and term transitions of C4 board members • Prepare research and briefing documents for the Executive Director before meetings and public events • Attend meetings, record notes, and support follow-up with staff and partners • Assist with email correspondence, scheduling, and planning to maximize the Executive Director's time • Support management and tracking of the Executive Office budget • Support executive team data management, drive storage, and digital security protocols • Field, assess, and respond to public and staff requests and inquiries • Serve as primary liaison to the Special Advisor to the President • Liaise with external partners and public speaking agents for the Executive Director's public engagements • Liaise with press and communications teams regarding the Executive Director's media opportunities • Support development of strategic internal and external communications • Manage Executive Office requests and information funneling to the President and Executive Director • Manage strategic-priority special projects for the President and Executive Director • Provide operational support and strategic insight on Executive Office and organization-wide projects • Participate in annual strategic planning and budgeting • Provide coverage for scheduling, all-staff communications, and organizational program management when Executive Office colleagues are out of office
• Expertise, skill, and interest in board and office operations, travel and calendar management, budgeting, retreat planning, and digital and physical security management • Skilled proficiency in Google Suite, including Google Calendar, Google Docs, and Google Sheets • Significant experience and skill in developing informational, exciting, and visually appealing presentation decks is a plus • Ability to travel domestically at least 25% of the year to directly support the Executive Director • Excellent attention to detail and highly organized • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience managing multiple projects and tasks with strong time management • Ability to work independently and in partnership with a highly motivated team • Agreement and alignment with NDWA's vision and values • Bilingual (Spanish preferred) is a plus, but not required • Resume and writing sample of less than 750 words required for application • Must participate in NDWA's electronic application process • NDWA participates in the E-Verify program
