Earlens is a medical device company that makes an FDA-cleared “contact” hearing solution that uses a tiny custom Lens placed on the eardrum to directly vibrate it, driven wirelessly by an ear-tip and behind-the-ear processor. The system is designed to restore a broader audible frequency range — especially high frequencies important for speech understanding and music quality — than traditional acoustic hearing aids. Earlens devices are fitted and can be removed by trained Ear, Nose and Throat physicians or certified providers; the company markets to patients and providers and emphasizes improved speech-in-noise performance and natural sound quality.

📋 Description

• Provide remote diagnostic audiology services to partnering ENT practices • Work with an onsite MA or equivalent • Conduct comprehensive audiology evaluations including pure-tone audiometry, speech audiometry, video otoscopy, and immittance testing • Perform initial fitting of air conduction hearing devices • Work with ENT clinic staff to provide diagnostic audiology services as directed by the ENT group • Provide use and care counseling for air conduction hearing aids • Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment to assess and analyze auditory function • Chart notes in the ENT EMR and write reports as appropriate • Recommend next audiology steps to the ENT • Communicate assessment findings to patients clearly and empathetically • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate electronic medical records

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum Master’s Degree in Audiology from an accredited institution • State licensure and certification as a Diagnostic Audiologist • Experience with telehealth technology and remote patient care is preferred • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
