• Conduct NEPA impact analyses for public projects and develop appropriate NEPA documentation • Manage preparation of legally sound Environmental Impact Statements, Environmental Assessments, categorical exclusions, and other environmental compliance documents • Author sections of applicable NEPA documents • Oversee NEPA documents prepared by subconsultants and provide QA/QC for deliverables • Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies and the public on compliance requirements and project details • Record stakeholder input and develop presentations • Facilitate agency and public meetings • Monitor developments and best practices in NEPA law, regulation, policy, and guidance • Collaborate with Project Managers, project teams, clients, and stakeholders to integrate environmental considerations into project planning and execution • Provide technical support for environmental permitting processes • Train junior staff • Prepare environmental documents and technical studies for linear infrastructure, marine and coastal infrastructure, and coastal restoration • Coordinate agency and internal team project deadlines • Work independently and directly with federal agencies, clients, and the NEPA Practice
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, geology, planning, or similar • A minimum of 7-10 years of NEPA experience, or comparable writing and document development experience • Deep understanding of NEPA and its intersection with the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, and National Historical Preservation Act • Ability to manage time, meet deliverable targets and deadlines, work under time constraints, balance multiple priorities, and track multiple documents concurrently • Excellent research, analytical, writing, oral communication, and organizational skills • Willingness to travel as needed for client events, conferences, and other business-related engagements • Interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills for positive internal, client, and contractor relationships • Solid technical writing and problem-solving abilities • Passion for environmental consulting, technical excellence, quality, and lifelong learning • Must not require employer-sponsored employment visa; EDGE will not sponsor H-1B, OPT, or other employment visas
