📋 Description

• Build and sustain relationships with cancer patient advocacy organizations and professional medical societies • Identify partnership opportunities and advocate for programs and policies supporting the oncology portfolio • Serve as Lilly's relationship owner for key patient advocacy organizations • Manage memberships, sponsorships, and partnerships and ensure commitments and benefits are fulfilled • Partner with disease state teams to align advocacy and society priorities with franchise medical strategy • Bring patient and provider perspectives into clinical trial design, PRO endpoint discussions, and post-approval evidence communication • Address oncology patient access barriers through external relationships and collaborations • Partner with Government Affairs and Policy on clinical trial access, rare disease designations, coverage, access, and pricing policies • Manage advocacy funding and ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and ethical standards • Support executive engagement with oncology organizations and scientific congresses • Collaborate on post-congress readouts and sentiment intelligence communications • Support internal training on the oncology patient experience and patient advocacy best practices • Communicate the impact of oncology patient advocacy efforts to internal and external audiences

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree • 5+ years of experience working in or with patient advocacy and/or professional medical society organizations • Ability to travel up to 35%, including occasional weekend travel for major oncology congresses and PAO events • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis • Lilly will not provide work authorization or visa sponsorship • Expertise working in the external environment to build relationships and advance policy or environment-shaping goals • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Passion for and knowledge of hematologic cancers preferred • Experience or established relationships in hematologic malignancies and with hematology advocacy organizations and/or professional societies preferred • Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, problem-solving, and multitasking capabilities • Relationship-building and influencing skills • Excellent written and oral communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior audiences • Experience working and communicating with executives • Experience partnering with and influencing external stakeholders • Familiarity with healthcare policy and government affairs preferred • Understanding of the oncology policy landscape and its impact on business priorities • Master's or advanced degree in a related field preferred
