📋 Description

• Oversee an assigned territory and agency partners to drive profitable premium growth and achieve financial and operational goals • Create, implement, and execute territory and agency strategies using company programs, tools, and resources • Own the business development process, emphasizing profitable new-business pipeline development and renewal retention • Identify and evaluate prospective agencies, survey prospects, and obtain completed agency applications • Build and cultivate complex agency partnerships with agency ownership, management, and frontline team members in person • Establish subject-matter expertise while delivering product, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and system training • Support retention and new-business development to increase agency depth and maximize agency revenue • Create, drive, and manage producer relationships through company-strategy knowledge and joint sales planning • Communicate with branch teams about complex agency relationships and coordinate actions to address potential issues • Build and execute agency-management sales plans to achieve production and profit goals • Lead territory and agency-management processes, including prospecting, business planning, engagement, training, and compensation

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing or business, or equivalent relevant work experience • Five years of experience in property and casualty underwriting, claims, sales territory development, agency, or related experience • Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC, or an agent license preferred • Excellent knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry • Advanced knowledge of independent agency operations, market conditions, and competitor information • Exceptional problem-solving and sound decision-making abilities • Excellent sales and negotiating skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills • Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and social media • Demonstrated leadership qualities • Travel required • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving
