• Provide tactical direction, establish priorities, assign tasks, coordinate projects, and provide expertise and support to technicians at job sites • Ensure technicians perform work safely and receive technical and administrative training • Apply 95% of time to billable work orders • Complete preventive maintenance and repairs according to work order requirements • Perform minor plumbing maintenance on toilets, urinals, valve assemblies, faucets, and automatic flush sensors • Perform routine painting, carpentry, general maintenance, wall and floor repairs, door repairs, and touch-up work • Perform minor electrical maintenance permitted without a license, including fixtures, switches, outlets, bulbs, ballasts, and sockets • Complete service inspections and asset inspections • Lead, coach, and provide trade knowledge to technicians in the field • Train new employees in EMCOR field organizational practices and procedures • Observe technician workmanship and accuracy of related administrative functions • Assist technicians with complicated or skilled work orders where geographically appropriate • Serve as facilities maintenance subject matter expert • Complete other duties assigned by the Regional Manager
• HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Landscaping, Trades (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, etc.), or Specialty Floor Care, preferred • Five or more years mechanical experience, including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry required; or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience • Experience in one or more building trades • Must possess applicable certifications and licenses • Valid driver’s license in good standing • Ability to read and comprehend safety policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence • Ability to present information in individual and small group situations • Ability to operate handheld devices and business systems or document management database software • Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel proficiency • Compliance with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives • Knowledge of OSHA standards and company safety policies • Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical building systems • Daily local travel between properties • Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 75 pounds • Required to drive a company vehicle daily • Ability to use required safety equipment, including steel toe shoes, hearing protection, hardhat, eye protection, and hand protection • Ability to abide by OSHA lock-out/tag-out and HAZCOM guidelines • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm in front of customers
