📋 Description

• Innovate and automate tasks using Empower approved AI service where possible • Engage with Legal and HR regarding ITM incidents under the guidance and leadership of senior team members • Gather supporting material and evidence for investigations and review it with senior team members • Conduct release reviews for routine release requests using established processes • Escalate non-routine requests • Deploy, manage, and optimize enterprise DLP solutions across endpoints and cloud environments • Perform weekly threat hunting to identify gaps in DLP protections and the broader security posture • Monitor for and escalate insider threat activity, including anti-sleep programs, employee fraud, and unapproved or potentially dangerous applications • Manage and create sensitivity and retention labels and labeling schemes for business projects • Integrate solutions such as Proofpoint AEDLP (Tessian) • Design, tune, and validate Proofpoint DLP rules for Splunk Enterprise Security to support threat detection and incident response • Automate security workflows using PowerShell, Python, and AWS services • Integrate security tools with SIEM/SOAR platforms to improve visibility and response • Collaborate with security operations, detection engineering, and IT to improve security posture and insider threat management processes

🎯 Requirements

• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is unavailable, including CPT/OPT • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent experience • 4+ years of experience in security engineering, detection engineering, or data protection • Hands-on experience with DLP technologies, including Proofpoint and Microsoft Purview • Experience with SIEM platforms, including Splunk ES • Strong Python and PowerShell scripting skills • Experience in automation and cloud-native development • Familiarity with networking fundamentals and Linux environments • Excellent communication skills for collaboration with Legal, HR, and executive stakeholders • Strong problem-solving skills • Ability to drive security improvements and cost-saving initiatives • Reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a suitable home workspace for remote work
