📋 Description

• Lead and develop the Upper Midwest claims team supporting Multi-Peril Crop Insurance, Private Products, and Named Peril claims operations • Build relationships with Regional Leadership and cross-functional partners to support timely, accurate, and compliant claims processing • Provide claims updates, analysis, and reporting to the Regional Claims Manager • Monitor claims productivity, service-level performance, adjuster workloads, closure rates, payment timelines, and other key metrics • Analyze resource utilization and staffing needs for efficient claims operations and budget management • Identify training and performance gaps and partner with Claims Training and leadership • Coach and support adjusters through guidance, work reviews, and feedback • Manage hiring, training, performance management, delegation, coaching, promotions, corrective actions, and terminations • Establish and communicate performance expectations aligned with company goals, values, and service standards • Serve as the local expert on claims adjusting issues and address concerns • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of crop insurance claim experience • 2+ years of supervisory and/or management experience preferred • CAPP certification required • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record • Applicable state license required • High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, business, or management preferred • Knowledge of crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices • Basic mathematical skills • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Ability to complete documentation requirements • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability • Ability to work independently and within a team • Ability to work in an office setting and outdoors in a farm environment • Strong time management and prioritization skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Ability to travel up to 60% • Ability to perform sedentary work and sit or stand continuously • Close visual acuity for data analysis, computer use, transcription, and extensive reading • Ability to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions • Frequently required to use personal protective equipment
