📋 Description

• Adjust Multi-Peril Crop Insurance (MPCI), Private Products, and Named Peril claims within an assigned territory • Service policyholders and agents as the top priority • Build and maintain professional relationships with the Area Claim Supervisor, policyholders, agents, and other adjusters • Build and maintain agency relationships for the region • Record and transmit loss information to determine potential damages according to FCIC, NCIS, and company procedures • Work controversial and diverse claims requiring extensive field claim knowledge • Complete field inspections, read maps and aerial imagery, and measure fields and storage bins • Diagnose issues and provide system support to other field claims staff using company software • Monitor company communications daily, including email, Webex, and text • Follow FCIS, state, and company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures • Work from a home office • Complete initial and ongoing training and certifications required by FCIC and state regulations • Explain adjusting procedures and findings to policyholders and agents • Conduct fact-finding and investigate crop damage to determine potential indemnities • Learn new crops • Train other field claims staff on claim procedures • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 2 years as a crop insurance adjuster preferred • 2 years’ experience handling crop insurance claims preferred • Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record • CAPP certification required • Applicable state license required • Basic mathematical skills • Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills • Ability to complete documentation requirements • Analytical thinking, fact-finding, and problem-solving ability • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Working knowledge of crop insurance regulations, policies, procedures, and best practices • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines • Initiative and ability to work with minimal supervision • Strong time management and prioritization skills • Ability to work in an office setting and outdoors in a farm environment • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally • Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles • Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 75 feet and perform work at significant heights • Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, and balance • Ability to work in confined spaces, extreme weather, and high dust levels • Ability to use required personal protective equipment • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and as needed • Up to 50% travel, primarily within a two-hour driving distance from the assigned home office
