📋 Description

• Design and analyze changes to existing power plants and new plant systems • Perform static equivalent and dynamic structural analysis for seismic loads • Design pipe supports, structures, equipment mounts, and foundations • Read and understand design drawings and technical specifications • Prepare calculations, specifications, and engineering evaluations • Develop specifications for structural components • Support engineering design and analysis projects for the power industry • Perform site walkdowns to identify design solutions • Develop cost-effective problem resolutions • Interface with staff engineers and engineers across offices • Develop equipment mounting, foundation design, and pipe support calculations and designs • Review, assemble, and prepare design modification packages • Apply industry codes and government regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university • Professional Engineering License • Minimum 10 years’ structural modification design experience • Experience working on nuclear projects • Demonstrated proficiency in preparation of structural calculations is desired • Knowledge of discipline specific computer analysis codes and standard office production software • Proficient in Word and Excel • Familiarity with the International Building Code and building code design • Familiarity with concrete and steel design codes and working stress and ultimate strength design approaches • Good writing, presentation, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and effectively in teams • Must be a U.S. Citizen • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship • Must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings • Must pass background checks • Annual motor vehicle record reviews required per company and client policies • Approximately 10% travel as needed
