📋 Description

• Develop and lead comprehensive project financing strategies, including debt, equity, tax equity, and hybrid financing structures, for renewable energy assets • Oversee tax equity financing, including relationships with tax equity investors, partnership flips, sale-leaseback transactions, IRS compliance, and market best practices • Manage relationships with financial institutions, investors, sponsors, and tax equity partners to secure funding and optimize capital structure • Oversee negotiation and execution of term sheets, financing agreements, and closing documentation • Lead internal and external teams through due diligence, structuring, and closing processes • Identify and mitigate credit, interest rate, and market risks associated with renewable energy projects • Collaborate with Development, Finance, Legal, Engineering, and Operations teams to assess project viability and transaction readiness • Provide mentorship and leadership to finance and investment teams • Review and validate complex financial models for project valuation, return analysis, and scenario planning • Monitor industry trends, policy changes, and capital market dynamics • Advise HQ on capital planning, M&A opportunities, and portfolio strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, or renewable energy finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role • Proven experience structuring and closing tax equity transactions • Deep understanding of tax equity instruments, partnership flips, inverted leases, and other federal tax credit monetization structures • Strong network of tax equity investors and financial counterparties • Mastery of financial modeling and return optimization related to tax-driven deal structures • Experience working with counsel and advisors on compliance with market standards for tax equity financing and project financing • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field • MBA, CPA, or CFA is strongly preferred
