📋 Description

• Coordinate physician communications between the PRC Coding team and physicians • Answer telephone and email questions for the specialty, including coding escalations • Provide specialty-specific coding education and training to physicians and coders • Serve as the primary contact and expert guidance resource for the specialty • Conduct coder communications reviews for accuracy, compliance, timeliness, and workflow alignment • Perform root cause analysis to identify coding trends and improvement opportunities • Support and lead coding opportunity improvement projects with cross-functional teams • Execute special coding projects assigned by leadership • Perform production coding as needed to maintain KPIs • Travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of medical coding experience, focused on physician coding • Preference for experience in orthopedic, surgical, obstetric, or multispecialty specialties • Strong knowledge of specialty-specific coding guidelines and regulations • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to analyze coding trends and implement improvement initiatives • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines • Flexibility in working hours to accommodate project timelines and physician schedules • Willingness and ability to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require • Openness to innovation, including AI • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or equivalent experience • Must hold and maintain at least one professional certification: CPC, CCS-P, CCS, CMPA, RHIA, or RHIT
