📋 Description

• Provide line management for engineers, including guidance, coaching, mentoring, and talent development • Lead adoption of the Software Development Lifecycle and Agile TOM • Develop and maintain software development processes, standards, and best practices • Identify and implement the engineering model best suited to Equiniti’s business context and resources • Drive engineering excellence and quality through analysis tools, control gates, peer reviews, and improved design, productivity, and quality • Optimize the engineering lifecycle through knowledge management and continuous learning • Reduce technical debt across the estate and mission in partnership with Product • Maintain relationships with risk management, compliance, and InfoSec, ensuring corrective actions are executed • Support engineers with technical challenges and foster a self-directed, high-performance culture • Build a talent pipeline through hiring, internal movements, succession planning, and talent reviews • Evaluate emerging technologies, models, and methods and drive adoption • Articulate the technical roadmap, product vitality, and architecture documentation; lead platform validation • Contribute to code regularly as an expert or experienced coder • Develop organizational policies, standards, and guidelines for software construction and refactoring • Plan and lead software construction for strategic, large, and complex development projects • Adapt or develop methods and organizational capabilities and drive adherence to policies and standards • Investigate and resolve application issues, devise corrections and workarounds, and capture user feedback for future development

🎯 Requirements

• Degree in technical education, engineering, computer science, etc. • 5+ years of hands-on tech stack experience • 5+ years of management experience • Experience with engineering development for a Product SaaS organisation • Experience leading conceptualization and development of a portfolio of products or SaaS-based products • Experience in financial services • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies, including Scrum • Knowledge of efficiency improvement, configuration management, release readiness, documentation/technical writing, process/data/system engineering, analytical methods, lifecycle management, and problem solving • Knowledge of full-stack development, REST/WCF services, database design, responsive web design, dependency injection, data access and persistence, ORM frameworks, unit and integration testing, web accessibility and security standards, SAST/DAST tools, CMS, message queuing, application architecture, containers, microservices, source code control, CI/CD, and Blue/Green deployments • Experience with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, TFSVC, Git, Azure Cloud Platform, and Amazon Web Services • Experience with identity and access technologies including ADFS, OAuth, Okta, Identity Server, and certificates • Experience with ORM tools including Entity Framework and Dapper • Experience with JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, XQuery, LINQ, Lambda, PowerShell, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL Server, T-SQL, unit-test tools, .NET Core, .NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET Core, Web API, MVC, WebForms, Visual Studio, and Redgate Tools • Post-graduation in advanced computer science subjects and MBA in Systems are preferred
