📋 Description

• Provide nutrition-related care for children and families undergoing eating disorder treatment through Equip’s family-based treatment approach • Support patients and families in transforming maladaptive eating patterns into a healthy relationship with food • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans • Conduct initial nutrition assessments, prescribe meal plans, and assess target weight ranges through telehealth meetings • Guide exposure to fear/challenge foods • Communicate meal plans and nutrition concerns to treatment team members • Provide education to resolve nutrition-related concerns • Assist with discharge planning • Update treatment plans weekly with patient progress, goals, assignments, and directives • Reassess nutritional needs and communicate recommendations to the treatment team and families • Deliver evidence-based nutrition education addressing irrational thoughts and beliefs around food, nutrition, weight, and shape • Establish therapeutic relationships with families and collaborate toward treatment goals • Document thoroughly in Equip’s electronic medical record • Manage a caseload of up to 80 patients • Attend mandatory supervision, treatment, laboratory, all-hands, and other meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Active license in Texas • Minimum of a bachelor's degree or college and coursework accredited or approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) • Licensed RDN required • Eating disorder experience preferred • Exposure or experience with family-based eating disorder treatment approaches preferred but not required • Ability to manage a caseload of up to 80 patients • Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse teams • Experience working on interdisciplinary teams • Organized and results-driven • Ability to understand and balance business needs and clinical priorities • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment subject to rapid change and innovation • Ability to provide 30 hours per week of availability for direct patient care • Ability to commit to at least 16 hours of direct patient care after 2 pm in the patient population’s time zone • Ability to work until 8 pm two evenings per week • Ability to attend mandatory meetings • Providers must be licensed or registered as required in every state where they deliver care
