📋 Description

• Provide financial counseling to patients for Essentia Health services in-person and virtually • Assist patients with navigating Essentia Health’s payment options • Assist patients with Medicaid eligibility and financial assistance programs • Perform self-pay liability price estimates • Analyze accounts to evaluate, develop and implement action plans • Educate guarantors and help resolve their financial responsibilities • Assist with patient phone inquiries from the Patient Financial Services call center • Exceed patient expectations and contribute positively to the working environment

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge in registration, coding, insurance billing and payment methodology • Knowledge of self-pay collections • Exceptional customer service skills • Some trade course classes in accounting, business, and/or communications would be very beneficial • 2 years of experience in Financial Counseling, Self-Pay Collections, Call Center, Billing and/or Health Care
