📋 Description

• Identify customer problems and opportunities • Lead teams to research, architect, design, and operationalize AI/ML solutions • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to define and execute product and technical roadmaps for ML solutions • Drive cross-functional technical alignment and execution across engineering teams • Lead R&D in advanced AI, focusing on mid- and long-term research topics • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the organization • Apply data-driven technical decision-making and experimentation • Architect the next generation of AI/ML models and systems for Search, Recommendations, and Ads • Define and lead technical strategy for core AI/ML solutions • Build personalized customer experiences for Etsy buyers and sellers

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in ML and AI • Track record of building large-scale, high-performance models and systems • Deep experience with end-to-end ML/AI development, including large-scale model training and serving • Foundational and practical understanding of machine learning principles and productionizing models at scale • Proficiency with data processing frameworks such as Spark, Beam, and Hadoop • Proficiency with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn • Ability to define and solve highly ambiguous or unconstrained technical problems • Track record collaborating with engineers, leaders, and product managers on complex projects • Commitment to supporting and mentoring engineers
