📋 Description

• Commercialize Vertex Pharmaceuticals therapies via teleconference and/or telephone to selected healthcare offices and providers • Provide impactful clinical information and educational materials during remote engagements • Cover white space and vacant territories • Partner with Vertex employees to address stakeholder needs and execute business plans • Create positive virtual interactions and foster appropriate growth for client products • Engage office stakeholders and develop trusting healthcare provider relationships • Explain assigned product features and address questions and concerns to ensure appropriate therapeutic use • Learn and communicate complex medical topics, industry compliance guidelines, Vertex programs, pharmacy, and insurance landscapes • Complete assigned disease-state and product training • Deliver review-committee-approved, education-focused messages and disease-state information to selected HCPs • Enhance HCP awareness of Vertex products and clinical data • Equip HCPs with tools to facilitate clinical conversations and patient education • Build HCP trust, knowledge, and confidence in identifying treatment gaps • Increase awareness of the assigned therapeutic area • Achieve call activity, adherence, and brand performance objectives • Generate accurate sample and literature requests and follow up on product shipments • Maintain database entries on targeted customer calls, product discussions, literature requests, and sample requests • Provide feedback and recommendations to team leadership • Comply with company, PDMA, compliance, and regulatory policies and guidelines • Work independently from a remote home office • Cultivate the assigned virtual territory and remain accountable for measurable results • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university • 2+ years sales experience in an outbound Virtual/Tele-sales or field sales role, preferably with a healthcare or pharma emphasis • Pain experience is preferred • Launch experience is a plus • Strong sales aptitude in highly competitive markets • Documented sales results • Rich understanding of the total office call • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook • Ability to learn new software as needed • Excellent communication and rapport-building skills • Ability to learn complex medical topics • Ability to adhere to established compliance guidelines, patient assistance programs, pharmacy, and insurance/market access landscapes • Aptitude and confidence to converse with physicians and all levels of medical office staff • Stable internet connection adequate to support voice-over-VoIP calls and virtual call platforms
