📋 Description

• Prepare and review calculations and staking drawings for residential construction projects • Review foundation closures, including square, rotation, and setbacks • Review and add interior walls to slabs based on client staking requests • Perform calculations and prepare Plot & Drive staking drawings • Draw property boundaries and adjust boundaries to aerial imagery • Calculate search points for property corners • Draw and verify proposed foundations • Place houses based on third-party site plans • Calculate foundation offsets • Prepare calculations and drawings for additions • Create master staking drawings for new subdivisions • Compare recorded plats with CAD files and identify discrepancies • Add centerline control and label recorded plats • Upload completed files into STARS • Create separate drawing surfaces for dirt quantity calculations • Prepare and distribute completed dirt calculations to client contacts • Prepare closing as-built surveys for Rockford • Work under the supervision of the Drafting Manager • Manage multiple residential construction drafting projects and meet deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma required • Associates / Technical Degree or higher preferred • 4+ years of successful job-related professional drafting experience in the surveying industry • Applied CAD experience • Proven professional skill sets including Civil 3D and survey experience • Experience with CAD drafting and/or surveying calculations • Ability to read and interpret site plans, construction plans, and recorded plats • Strong mathematical and analytical skills • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to identify discrepancies between drawings, plats, and field information • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Comfortable learning client-specific procedures and software • Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software, e-technology, and cloud-based solutions • Ability to communicate and respond to questions professionally and knowledgeably • Assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player • Flexible, positive, client-service-oriented attitude • Construction surveying, land surveying, civil engineering, or residential construction experience is a plus
