📋 Description

• Build and maintain cross-stack features such as accounting integrations, advanced receipt scanning, calendar integrations, and credit card transaction imports • Fix bugs and improve application reliability • Maintain and improve high-quality production code • Review pull requests from internal engineers and external contributors • Use AI tools throughout the workflow and assess their output • Make product decisions about what to build, cut, or rethink • Identify repetitive work and automate it • Share productive engineering workflows and knowledge • Support and enable the broader team to work more efficiently • Collaborate with engineers, designers, customer-facing teams, and external contributors to ship reliable features

🎯 Requirements

• Resourceful, self-directed engineer • Ability to work across product and engineering • Strong grasp of design patterns and system design, applied in a production codebase • Clear written and spoken communication, including native-level English • Natural problem solver who automates solutions instead of repeating work • Understanding of programming’s role and impact across the organization • Drive to grow programming and leadership skills • Experience with JavaScript, React, React Native, PHP, C++, Java, iOS, or Android • Ability to work fluidly across design, customer-facing teams, and engineering • Ability to review work and provide direct, thoughtful feedback to open-source contributors • Bonus: experience maintaining a codebase that accepts outside contributions, such as an open-source project
