📋 Description

• Conduct field-based investigations by visiting policyholders’ homes to investigate property damage • Use claims handling software, a company car, and laptop to determine claims-related damage and write estimates in a paperless environment • Investigate claims, determine liability, confirm coverage, establish damages, report status, and negotiate settlements • Adjust all types of claims and inspect damaged property • Estimate repair or replacement costs for damaged or stolen property • Determine and report subrogation potential • Initiate the sale of salvage, personal property, and miscellaneous salvage items • Report theft, fraud, and arson losses to state and industry agencies as required • Represent the Company from a public relations standpoint • Communicate with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, fraud and arson personnel, investigators, attorneys, expert witnesses, medical professionals, and others involved in claims processing • Travel away from home for approximately 23 days when assigned to the Catastrophe team • Promote safety and comply with safety/ergonomic standards • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Communication skills • Personal computer literacy • Valid driver's license • Bondable • Must maintain an active adjusters license in states where required • Ability to conduct field investigations and inspect damaged property • Ability to estimate repair or replacement costs • Ability to negotiate claim settlements • Ability to travel between offices, alternative work locations, and field locations • Ability to work outdoors and exposure to weather elements, hazardous materials, and unstable structures • Ability to frequently move, push, pull, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance • Clear vision, with or without correction • Adequate hearing, with or without correction
