📋 Description

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations at policyholders’ residences • Assess property damage, determine liability, evaluate loss extent, and negotiate fair settlements • Use claims handling software, company car, and laptop to determine damage and write estimates in a paperless environment • Evaluate and report potential subrogation opportunities • Report theft, fraud, or arson incidents to appropriate state and industry agencies • Perform duties independently with direct impact on management outcomes • Represent the company professionally in public interactions • Engage with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, law enforcement, fraud and arson investigators, attorneys, medical professionals, and other stakeholders • Negotiate with policyholders to settle claims • Promote safety and comply with safety/ergonomic standards • Travel away from residence for CAT deployments, typically for 23 days; commit to 1–3 deployments per year • Perform required duties in the field and an in-home office environment

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required • Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment • Construction or Insurance experience is highly desirable and preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook • Proficiency with smartphones and applications • Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage • Valid driver's license and bondable • Final candidates subject to a Motor Vehicle Record background check • Must reside within the designated Lufkin/Nacogdoches, TX territory • Willingness and ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops multiple times per day • Ability to work in small, confined spaces such as attics and crawlspaces • Ability to achieve a minimum passing score on all claims training exams • Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. • English speaking, reading, writing, and key entering ability
